Come Back,Okay? (Splendorman X Child!Reader pt3)

3rd part of the series!~ yaaay~
Sorry for taking so long to update! Its just that there's so much stress from school and exams are coming! \(oAo)/

As the child trotted in the kitchen, she slipped and landed on her bum. "Crap! Crap!" a voice rang. Due to the sudden commotion and fall, she started to sniffle some tears. 

Suddenly a man rushed to her side and knelt down next to her, helping her up and rubbing her back. "Are you okay?" 
She looked up and saw a mask, well more like a man wearing a mask. He had brown hair, an orange top and his mask was white. She nodded in response, sniffing and wiping away a few tears.

Upon seeing her calm down, the man sighed in relief. "Dang it EJ! I told you to keep the kitchen clean today!" He scolded the other guy who wore a blue mask and black hoodie. Beside him was another person who wore a black mask and yellow hoodie. "Well how I was supposed to know that she was going to come in here anyway?" The one in the black hoodie complained. " You didn't have to moron, the boss already told us that his niece was coming. You're just lucky that he didn't see her crying because of your clumsy ass." The boy in the yellow hoodie said putting his hands in his pockets,obviously referring to the puddle of water which Y/N slipped on.

"language Hoodie!" The man in the mask scolded yet again. Despite all the commotion. The little girl paid no attention to their quarreling. Her eyes were fixed on the plate of cheesecake on the table. The sweet aroma caught her attention ever since they started their debate. 

"And one more thing! You sho-" The white masked man was cut off when he noticed that she no longer was crying but instead, was staring at his favorite treat on the table. 

"Oh man, I think you should hand her the cheesecake Masky. I mean she is the boss's niece. " The Blue-masked boy said with a hint of mischief in his voice. "M-masky?" Little Y/N said cocking her head to the side. "Yes? " The masked man, who she assumed was 'Masky' looked at her. "Mister Masky, can I have some cake? Pwetty pweeeaassee?~" She pleaded with puppy eyes. Masky looked at the cheesecake, then at her, then the cheesecake, then back to her, then-

"Just give her the cheesecake Tim!" 

"Alright, alright! you don't have to be such a drama queen Hoodie. " He sighed before he stood up and approached the table. He cut out a slice,placing it on a separate plate then returned to Y/N who's face read excitement. 

He took a deep sigh before handing her the plate. Y/N wondered why his hand was trembling, as if he was hesitating weather or not he should give the cake. She grabbed the plate and started eating the cake as if it was the only meal left on earth.

"she's a lot like you when she eats cheesecake y'know . " Hoodie who Y/N assumed was the one in the yellow hoodie. "Shut it." Masky said rolling his eyes behind his mask.

*timeskip to after dinner and bathtime wheee~*

"Are you sure about this? " Slendy asked. His brother nodded. "I have to! I mean you're busy with work here, Trender isn't really the one for combat, and Offender is most likely to say no. "But you promise that you'll come back alive. I can see how much you mean to Y/N." Splendy smiled sadly upon hearing that. Yes they meant so much to each other. He knew that he had to take care of her 24/7, and she knew that she had to keep him smiling 24/7.  "i'll do my best."  He smiled before getting up and heading to the living room.

His eyes landed on his daughter, who was fast asleep on the couch with Sally. Of course they were busy watching Disney Movies the whole time. He smiled at the sight at this and went over to pick up Y/N. Sally on the other hand stirred and opened her eyes and yawning. "Eh? Good evening Uncle Splendy." She said. "Good evening to you too Sally. But I think its time for you to get going to bed, right?" Splendy whispered, being careful not to wake up his daughter. "Will Y/N stay here for a while?" She asked with her eyes glinting with hope. "Of course she will!" He replied, not being too loud. Sally instantly gave a toothy grin. "Yay!~ well good night then uncle!" She said before bolting off to her room. The tall happy man chuckled a bit at  this before he started going towards the guest room. He opened the door, slowly and carefully, trying not to make too much noise.

He walked over to the bed and laid Y/N on it, making sure to pull the blanket first then putting it over her. He kissed her forehead and whispered a 'goodnight' before walking out of the room, closing the door behind him carefully. "Did you tell her yet? " his brother, Slendy said with arms crossed. "Its better if I don't..." 

"but what would her reaction be when she finds out her father left?" 

"I know but I really have to go. And if I did tell her, she'd want to go with me. Its too dangerous for her y'know!"

Little did they know, Y/N sneaked out of bed and was now listening to every word. ' "have to go?" "Father left?" ' those words circled in her mind before she fitted ever piece together. She suddenly bursted out the room before hugging Splendy's leg.

"No! No! No! Don't leave me here! Y-you promised you were taking me out tomorrow!" She didn't even know that she was crying until she felt hot tears prickle down her face. Splendy frowned at this and kneeled down to reach her eye level. On the other hand, Slendy sighed and patted his brother on the back before leaving the scene. "Y/N...I have to... I'll be back as soon as I can! " 
"When will you be back?" 

Those words rang in his mind. 'the true question is....will I ever make it back?'

He shook those thoughts out and went back to cooing Y/N. "I'll be back soon. Faster than you can say 'Splendorman is the best dad in the whole world!'" He smiled, trying to cover up his guilt and sadness. Y/N nodded before wiping away her tears and trying to stop sobbing. "Now come on kiddo. Its time for bed." He said before leading her back inside.

Y/N climbed on top of the bed while Splendy put the blanket over her. "Promise that you'll be back...?" He smiled sadly before nodding. "Promise." 

"Pinky promise?" She said holding out her pinky. "Pinky promise." He said linking his pinky with hers. "Daddy can you sing me the lullaby?" Y/N yawned. "Anything for my little princess." 

"You are my sunshine

my only sunshine"

It was true that Y/N was the only one that can make him so happy. He never found anyone that made him smile as much as she made him. 

"You make me happy

when skies are grey."

And even in the darkest time, no matter what pain he was in, she always knew how to make him smile. She brought so much joy in his life.

"You never know dear

how much I love you"
She meant so much to him. It was as if she really was her daughter. And she knew that he wasn't her real father, but she'd call him 'Daddy' no matter what.  

"So please don't take my sunshine away."  

Its just been three months, and he already didn't know what his life would be like now if he didn't find her. As each second passed by, the more he'd forget what he would do without her.  He vowed to himself that he'd protect her, because to him, she was more than the worth of diamonds.

his train of thoughts were cut off at the sight of Y/N already fast asleep. He gave a small smile and kissed her forehead before getting up and leaving.

he was going to make it back. He was sure of it. He would never break a promise to her.
